Who is Jack Keefe?

Jack is a TMCGS member who has authored “Echoes of Purple and Gold,” a book of local history tales.  He also authored for many years the Pantagraph’s column of historical events.

June 3, 1922: Roy Royce, America’s youngest “human fly,” scaled the south side of the
McLean County courthouse all the way to the top of the dome. When he got there, he climbed
to the top of the flagstaff and perched on the ball. It was 4 pm, so he drew a crowd.
